If I could pick one word to describe this past week it would be SPONTANEOUS.
It all started Monday after my last class of the day. I was driving home and thinking about what I was going to do that week. In my head I was thinking "I will do some chemistry homework, clean my car, study microbiology, and reorganize my closet this week!" But that all changed the second I walked in the door and my mom yelled:
"MELISSA JUST CALLED AND HER WATER BROKE!"
My mom was on the first flight out to Miami that night and I told myself that I wasn't going to sleep until I saw a picture of that baby!
My mom landed in Miami, rode a taxi to the hospital, and walked into the delivery room exactly 5 minutes before LUKE DALLIS STRINGHAM was welcomed into the world!
It was about 7:51 AM in Miami, which meant it was 5:51 AM in Utah and I was wide awake awwwing over every picture of my new nephew. I just wanted to be there holding him!
Well I continued with my week as normal.
Work, School, Homework. REPEAT.
Then before I knew it I was sitting co-pilot seat of a private jet heading down to Lake Powell,
Yep, you read that right.
My parents were supposed to go down to Lake Powell that Wednesday morning to go over houseboat remodel plans. And well, since mom was gone my Dad invited ME! It was awesome! Very last minute and SPONTANEOUS!
Then Thursday night rolled around and Carly and Jeff were packing to go down to California for Jeff's friends wedding. I was excited for them, and thought about what I was going to do that weekend.
Sleep, Homework, Clean.....
Then Carly said something wonderful
"Ashlyn, Come with us to California this weekend!"
and so I did.
and it was amazing.
and it was SPONTANEOUS.
oh and we woke up LIVY the morning of and told her she was coming too!

well that was my very
SPONTANEOUS
week.
