Bienvenidos Miami

This past week, Jeff, Mom, Dad, and I flew down to Miami to help my cute sister and her family move to a new apartment.  They live in Miami, Florida. Her husband, Jack, is doing his ophthalmology residency at Bascom Palmer Eye institute down there.  It is the number one eye hospital in the whole United States. So not to brag, but I guess I have a genius for a brother in law.

Anyway, they have lived in Florida for a year now with their three kids.
There first home there was a duplex, and I am going to be completely honest here....It was a dump
This place was no bueno.
Rats, termites, mold, etc. etc. etc.

It is hard enough living in the skankiest city in America that is basically party central for cubans, russians, and every race in between....

So they picked up there things and moved to an apartment just north of South Beach.
It is so nice! The apartment building is on the beach. It also has a pool! You feel like you are at a hotel when you are at there house.
You also feel much more safe than their previous home. That's for sure.

We mostly were moving things, helping them get new cars, and kept the kids entertained so Melissa could get things done.  It was party.

When they were all settled in, we decided it was break time. We spent the last three days hanging out at the beach in front of their new home. (The beach that you can see from their apartment. Yes, every room in their apartment as a million dollar view of the crystal blue ocean, white sandy beach, and a perfect sunrise. Every. Single. Morning.)

We also were there for the Fourth of July. Which was a blast. We hung out at the beach the whole day, and stayed until dark and watched fireworks.  We could see almost every firework show along the Miami coast. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miami, South Beach, and some of the major hotels near their house put on pretty sweet firework shows as well.

People on the beach were also lighting off their own share of fireworks. The people next to us must have spent over $500 on fireworks, because they were launching them off one after another. SO CLOSE TO US! Which was pretty cool!

Until we meet again Miami!
xoxo
happy fourth of July
